The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (DOT) reported nearly 800 citations given to drivers last year for failing to stop for school buses. Other statistics from the DOT reveal Wisconsin residents being injured in pedestrian, bicycle, and bus crashes as well.

As kids all over Wisconsin get ready for a new school year, it's a great time to review transportation safety rules. The DOT provides activities, lesson plans, and safety quizzes that will get kids engaged in transportation safety. Whether you're a driver, riding a bike, walking or riding the bus to get to school, let's all stay safe!
